2021 Appraisal Notices – You may protest even if you do not receive an Appraisal Notice

Most 2021 Appraisal Notices were mailed April 15th with a Deadline to file a protest of May 15th. You should receive an appraisal notice if your market value increased by more than $1,000, you are a new owner for 2021, your exemptions have been cancelled or modified, or your property is in the Ennis or Red Oak ISD’s.

It is not necessary to receive an Appraisal Notice in order to file a protest but your deadline to file is May 15th. Please see CAD Forms on the Forms Tab for a Notice of Protest or Click Here: 2021 Notice of Protest Form (Form Fillable) If you disagree with or want to discuss any information with a staff member/appraiser, you may file a written protest completing the Notice of Protest form and deliver it by:

Email: protest@elliscad.com

Mail: PO Box 878, Waxahachie, TX 75168

Drop Box at rear entrance at 400 Ferris Ave, Waxahachie, TX

It is possible you may still receive a notice, if your account is still pending with EAD, and when you receive a notice, you will have a 30 day deadline to protest from the date on the notice.
